Getting ready for the BIG one !!!

I'm back!! I've been trying to tie up loose ends and finish a
couple of projects that have been staring at me for far too long!!! I have a hard time starting new things when there's unfinished business...must be the Libra in me !! Well, now that I'm on that subject...moi is going to be the big 50 next week...I already got a great gift, you might say from above! I just didn't feel so great. So after feeling really yuk for way too long, I finally went to the doctor...LONG story short, I have to do something very hard...Calm down and stop worrying! I'm actually very grateful for this little reality check. I have so much more to create...My goal is to be "fit and fiddle" for the next 50!!!

This is the birth anouncment my parents sent...a LONG time ago!!!

She's done!

This little Marie Antoinette pincushion is a custom order for one of my Etsy customers...just wanted to share!! I really LOVE projects like this!! She's a mix of pattern tissue, vintage lace and trims, and just about anything else I could get my hands on !!

.

I decided she needed to be in a frame...

One of my newest birds !! Kind of looks like a showgirl!!

Something really different

Last week I posted about my "top secret" project...
Now that it's in the tiny hands of it's new owner, I'm ready to reveal the most unusual project I've ever been approached with!!
It's a train table...I don't have children and had to use Google to figure out what a Train Table is.

Come to find out, it's a "simple" background for a child' s little train set.

Well, "simple" isn't my style.

So I went to Google Earth and got a birds eye view of my little friends house and property.
That was my blueprint for the train table I was to create...REALLY fun!!!
It's nice to think outside the box once in a while!!

My first " train Table"

A pillow or a picture ??

This is a piece I've been working on for a long time.
It's the project I usually pull out when I'm in-between things.

The base was just a crayon drawing I did on muslin...works great!!

I then did a little stitching...got bored with that, so the layering began!!

Now the million dollar question is...pillow or picture?
