A day on the lake

Last weekend we took Oliver out for his first boat ride...fingers were crossed it would go ok!!
You never know with puppys...we couldn't be more thrilled! He did great!!!
I can't wait for many more days like this one!!
Have I done any significant crafting lately? Well...not really!
Guess I better get started on something before I forget how!

Invention out of necessity

A couple of weeks ago after I ruined my another pair of jeans I decided maybe one of those crafty aprons was the ticket...I'm usually sitting so it didn't need to be too big. just enough to cover my lap.

I'm always misplacing things so pockets are really important to me...even though I have a pair of readers in almost every room I can never find a a pair !

The end result is this crafty little number...no more ruined clothes!!! Woo hoo!!
I'm liking my apron so much I thought I'd put one in my Etsy shop...ya never know!

Sunny days!!!

The sun is finally here !!
Northern California had a record breaking rainy Spring...hate to even call it Spring. More like "spraying of water"!

Now that it's warm and pretty I'm in the mood for a little re-decorating in my craft studio. Nothing to major, just a tiny switch up here and there.
Thought I'd share...

Have a lovely weekend!

Published!!!

I'm so happy to share a bit of good news...My sweet Molly is in Pat Winters Crazy Quilt Gatherings magazine !!! She is wearing a crazy quilt scarf I had made for her out of vintage hankies...
I can't think of a better way to remember her ...

This is the sweetest magazine. It's packed with inspiration !!!
It's available on Pats blog www.gatherings100.blogspot.com

A fabulous magazine...and heartwarming for me!

Here's my girl!!

Trying out some new things...

I couldn't resist this Mexican Sugar Skull embroidery pattern by Jenny Hart...she's the best!

Since I've been feeling like switching things up in my little artsy-crafty world how about a needle case...with a skull on the front?! I had a ball working with all the color ! This will be available in my Etsy shop as well as a few more new craft room goodies.

Stay tuned!
