When I see wedding pictures, or any pictures at flea markets it makes me sad... who are they? Do they have family? I mean, it was their special day and here they are in a cardboard box at a flea market! So, it was really important to take this picture and do something lovely with it... A keepsake box.
Thought I'd share some pics of an on-going project...my version of the artsy bags that are soooo popular. I'm designing this one for me,something I don't do very much! . To be totally honest, I'm not sure if it's done yet...that's the fun part!!!
Eventually I'll be offering similar designs in my etsy shop.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines Day!!! xoxo, jen
Last post I showed my first attempt at creating a unique Wedding Cake topper... I'm hooked! Partly because I've always been drawn to turning overlooked everyday items into a possible heirloom. The other reason is I feel so incredibly happy when I'm done!! The piece could end up being part of someones special day...what's better than that?
Lots of ideas rattling around here in my little brain! So much fun stuff going on with weddings...I don't know anyone planning a anything, but I can't resist watching the shows about dream weddings !
So, I thought I'd try my hand at a unique cake topper.
I had the bones left from an old hat that I'd removed all the flowers from...added millinery, love doves and some fancy-glittery old jewels...wah la! It was soooo fun ! Have a great Superbowl weekend!!!
I thought it would be a fun idea to start doing small canvas's to go along with some of my doll designs...besides it's fun to switch things up once in a while !
I'm a little rusty , so when it came time to do his fluffy ruffle, I cheated and used a little scrap left over from the White Rabbit doll. Then came the glitter...can't live without glitter! The end result...pretty cute!! Isn't it funny how the best ideas can come from a mistake!
