Eat cake!!

Last post I showed my first attempt at creating a unique Wedding Cake topper...
I'm hooked!
Partly because I've always been drawn to turning overlooked everyday items into a possible heirloom.
The other reason is I feel so incredibly happy when I'm done!!
The piece could end up being part of someones special day...what's better than that?

Something New !

Lots of ideas rattling around here in my little brain!
So much fun stuff going on with weddings...I don't know anyone planning a anything, but I can't resist watching the shows about dream weddings !

So, I thought I'd try my hand at a unique cake topper.

I had the bones left from an old hat that I'd removed all the flowers from...added millinery, love doves and some fancy-glittery old jewels...wah la!
It was soooo fun !

White Rabbit with a twist !!!

I thought it would be a fun idea to start doing small canvas's to go along with some of my doll designs...besides it's fun to switch things up once in a while !

I'm a little rusty , so when it came time to do his fluffy ruffle, I cheated and used a little scrap left over from the White Rabbit doll.
Then came the glitter...can't live without glitter!
The end result...pretty cute!!
Isn't it funny how the best ideas can come from a mistake!
