Hello Summer !!

Summers here...and so's the heat.
So while I thought happy thoughts for whoever invented air conditioning, I also made some summer Bird clips.
These little darlings are one of my favorite things to make !! This time I used a lot of vintage baubles and flowers...and really fun colors!!
I'll be putting them in my ETSY shop soon!

I Love the Vintage Flowers !!

A Big Thank You !!

We were lucky to have a wonderful pet sitter while on vacation ...poor girl had to deal with our dog getting hurt on the first night ! Little William will be ok. He's getting his knee repaired next week.
I wanted to do something for her as a thank you !
Handmade gifts are always my favorite, so I decided to make her a version of a bag I've been selling in my ETSY shop.
The inspiration for this on came from the song in Sound of Music about favorite things.
This was such a fun project...when you think about it most of someones favorite things don't always go together...that is where the real challenge came into play.

I ended up blending shoes, her children,perfume bottles,vintage,etc. I had fun doing this, but it was tough.
Here are a couple of pictures of my end result...

Favorite Things...

Gotta love a peacock !

Here's a tiny peek of an order I've been working on...

I took a little break for gelato and fabric shopping.

Gelato is sooooo much prettier than ice cream!
Anyway, I ended up getting a couple of fat
quarters that matched my gelato perfectly!!

Now that's a perfect world!!

Just thought I'd share a few pictures from our break from reality...

The colors are so intense... and my favorite thing is the water ! I LOVE being able to see my toenail polish underwater !! Sounds weird...but don't knock it till you've tried it.

So here I sit...with my daydreams of flowers, warm breezes and umbrella drinks !!
