Can't wait!

The new Alice in Wonderland movie is just around the corner...and I can't wait to see it!
Ok, I'm a huge fan...The ride, cartoon,book. It's all good!!
last year I started my Alice series. White Rabbit has been the most popular so far.
No surprise to me, he is pretty cute!! Not to mention a great excuse to go " junking!"

Back at work...finally!!!!!

Hate to complain about rain...we really do need it here in California.
It was so bad the other day we lost power...for a LONG time!!!
Not much you can do without the sewing machine, glue gun or (and I never thought I'd say this) a computer !!

Thankfully, things are back to normal.
Looks like we're getting a tiny break until the next storm...

Here are a couple things I've been working on.
The pin cushion is something I had thought of doing for a long time...just couldn't find the right "glass slipper"

The painting is one that I did last year, but it needed some vintage bling !

My New Little Garden Boxes

Here's my new little creations...
My first thought was to try to come up with a Tooth Fairy Box.
I used a combo of vintage flowers, jewelry and whatever else struck my fancy !

We've had tons of rain up here, so playing around with Spring colors has been like " therapy!!"

A Few New Things

Just a peek at a couple of new designs I'll be putting in my Etsy shop.
The birds are actually made from wool that I painted with a bit of Mod Podge, then added tons of glitter!! What would we do without glitter??

Kindred Spirits

You might say it's sort of my blog anniversary...I say sort of because I had a blog, but it wasn't until about this time last year I did much with it.

You meet people in blogland...and some are very special.
Laura ( Verbena Nested Treasures ) has been one of those...
This time last year I made one of my first Mermaid dolls for her...then we did smaller versions.

We've got this great way of thinking of a million things at once...but we both know what we want.
I've created lots of Mermaids since those first ones a year ago. It's so fitting that Laura contacted me a while ago to order some just the other week...you might say that I'm starting my year just like last year !!
The difference is, we're no longer strangers...
We're kindred spirits...
